Stephen F. DeAngelis

Stephen F. DeAngelis is a technology entrepreneur and patent holder with over 25 years of experience helping pioneer the application of advanced cognitive computing technologies and applied mathematics to commercial industries and government agencies.

 

Mr. DeAngelis is currently the Visiting Professional Executive in Cognitive Reasoning Platforms in the Department of Chemistry at Princeton University. Previously, Mr. DeAngelis was a Visiting Scientist at the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) at Carnegie Mellon University and a Visiting Scientist at the Mathematical and Computational Sciences and National Security Directorates at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

 

Mr. DeAngelis was named one of Esquire magazine’s “Best and Brightest” and Forbes magazine’s “Top Influencers in Big Data.” He was also a regular contributor to WIRED magazine’s Innovation Insights blog. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Dalai Lama Center for Ethics and Transformative Values at the MIT Media Laboratory. He is also the Founder and Chairman of The Project for STEM Competitiveness, a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring outcomes-measured STEM education to underrepresented populations. During the Iraq War, Mr. DeAngelis was the co-chairperson of the United States Chamber of Commerce’s Iraq Initiative and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Investment Taskforce.

 

Prior to Enterra, Mr. DeAngelis founded and was CEO of IndustryNetworks, LLC, a supply chain technology company that built one of the first web service-enabled supply chain management systems. He was also President and CEO of Mercer Industrial Holdings, LLC. Additionally, Mr. DeAngelis founded a strategy and government affairs consulting firm in Washington, DC, and was previously a member of the Bank of Boston’s Strategic Planning Group in the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.

 

Mr. DeAngelis has served on a number of other Boards of Directors of philanthropic and research-oriented organizations. He has also worked extensively with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, National Laboratories, and other governmental agencies on technology and national security matters.

 

Mr. DeAngelis earned a B.A. in International Affairs from the School of International Service at the American University in Washington, DC, where he concentrated in Sino-American Affairs and U.S. Security and Defense Policy.

Edward H. Arnold

Edward Arnold (Ed or E.H.) is a businessman and philanthropist with deep roots in Pennsylvania.

 

Mr. Arnold previously served as CEO and President of Arnold Industries, a company founded by his father in 1931. He is also an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame, where he endows a Germanic Studies program and serves on the Hesburgh Libraries Council and the Advisory Council for University Libraries.

 

Mr. Arnold has served on the Board of Lebanon Valley College (LVC) for over 30 years and has donated substantially to the school. Previously, Mr. Arnold served as Chairman of the college’s Investment and Finance Committee. He is also a member of Penn State’s Campaign Committee, and has served as President of the Board of Directors of the Lebanon Community Library. Mr. Arnold served as Director of the United Way − Lebanon County, Lebanon County Workshop, Lancaster/Lebanon Boy Scout Council, and Lebanon County Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Boards of the American Trucking Association and Trucking Management, Inc.

 

Mr. Arnold and his wife Jeanne Donlevy Arnold are strong supporters of the Penn State University Hershey Children’s Hospital, the Hummingbird Project, Lebanon Community Library, Domestic Violence Intervention, the Ronald McDonald Charities, among others.

 

Mr. Arnold earned a B.A. degree in Accounting from Notre Dame University in 1961. He received a Doctor of Humane Letters Honorary Degree from Lebanon Valley College in 1987.

James A. Auffenberg, Jr.

James (Jamie) Auffenberg, Jr. is an expert in the automobile industry with over 33 years of experience in the field.

 

At the start of his career, Mr. Auffenberg began working with his father at Auffenberg Ford and is still active in the dealership today. He is currently on the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) Board of Directors and serves on many NADA committees.

 

He is a past director and founder of the political action committee, Americans for Free International Trade. He is also a member of the Dealer Election Action Committee President’s Club, and is a past chairman of American International Automobile Dealer Association and St. Louis Ford Dealers Advertising Fund. He is also the former national vice-chairman of the Hyundai National Dealer Council, as well as the past president of the St. Louis Zone Chrysler/Jeep Dealers Advertising Association.

 

Mr. Auffenberg is a founding member of the Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the board of the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois. He also serves on the board of McKendree College and United Way of Greater St. Louis. He was formerly on the boards of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Southern Illinois, Belleville Economic Progress, Proud Partners of St. Clair County and the St. Louis Area Chapter of the American Red Cross.

 

He received a B.S. from the University of Santa Clara and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.

Tobias Gehrke

Mr. Gehrke is a private investor and advisor to hedge funds and private equity firms.

 

He was the co-head of Global Distribution for Citadel Asset Management until June 2015 when he retired. He was responsible for business development in EMEA, Asia and Australia.

 

Prior to joining Citadel in 2008, Mr. Gehrke led the Government Institutions Group for the Equities and Alternative businesses with Merrill Lynch. Previously, Mr. Gehrke was with Goldman, Sachs & Co in Equity Derivatives as Head of Sales for Northern Europe. Prior to going into finance, Mr. Gehrke worked as a chemical engineer designing highly efficient combined cycle power plants.

 

In 2016, Mr. Gehrke founded Athletes Without Frontiers (AWF). AWF’s mission is to establish a global community of socially conscious endurance athletes who support charity through perseverance in sports. AWF will be a central point of connection between athletes around the world and a select set of not-for-profit organizations who enable social empowerment in the communities they serve through improving health, education and job creation.

 

Mr. Gehrke holds an MBA in International Finance from New York University and a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

Dennis F. Haley

Dennis Haley is a veteran, businessman, and leadership expert.

 

After his 1967 graduation from the United States Naval Academy, Dennis Haley served onboard the USS Long Beach, a nuclear-powered cruiser. Following a tour of duty in Vietnam, he joined a small family-owned HVAC company in Philadelphia, PA. Over a 25-year career, he transformed the operation into one of the largest and most respected HVAC companies in the Delaware Valley.

 

After the business was sold in 1997, Mr. Haley developed the Lead2Succeed™ process that creates the ideal environment for behavior change. He co-authored The Leader’s Compass and Corporate Compass: Providing Focus and Alignment to Stay the Course. He has coached senior executives of numerous companies on effective management and facilitated numerous sessions on effective leadership skills and time management.

 

Mr. Haley served as a member of the Board of Directors of Fort Mifflin and as President of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. He has served as President of the Philadelphia Naval Academy Alumni Association, Trustee for the U.S. Naval Academy, a member of the National Board, Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and as Vice Chairman of the Board of a non-profit organization that mentors volunteers.

 

Mr. Haley graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Engineering.

Benn Konsynski, Ph.D.

Benn Konsynski is a highly regarded author, professor, and businessman.

 

He currently teaches in the Executive MBA, Doctoral IS, and Evening MBA programs at Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. Prior to Goizueta, he spent seven years on the faculty at the Harvard Business School teaching the MBA and Executive MBA programs. He also wrote many cases involving electronic data interchange (EDI), IS partnerships, and the digital marketplace. Prior to Harvard, he was a Professor at the University of Arizona, where he was co-founder of the university’s multi-million dollar group-decision support laboratory.

 

Dr. Konsynski is the author of Information Systems and Decision Processes and has published in such diverse journals such as Management Science, Communications of the ACM, Harvard Business Review, IEEE Transactions on Communications, MIS Quarterly.

 

He has served as a consultant on management and technology issues with many organizations including UPS, IBM, AT&T, Texas Instruments, the U.S. Army, the Bank of Montreal,JCPenney, Aetna Insurance Company, Turner Broadcasting Corporation, and Dillard’s Department Stores, among others.

 

Dr. Konsynski serves on the board of directors at several companies and non-profit organizations such as TESSCO Technologies, Miller-Zell, Nu-Bridges, and The Management Education Alliance.

 

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University, and has been a Baxter Research Fellow at Harvard, and Hewlett Fellow at The Carter Center.

Elizabeth A. LaPuma

Elizabeth LaPuma is a financial expert and advisor with nearly 20 years of experience.

 

Elizabeth LaPuma is a Managing Director at UBS focusing on financial institutions financing, structuring and M&A. She has been involved in landmark financial institution assignments around the globe and has achieved superior results for clients over nearly 20 years.

 

Previously Ms. LaPuma ran Alvarez & Marsal’s Asset Management practice. Before joining A&M, Ms. LaPuma worked with BlackRock Financial Markets Advisory Group, where she was part of initiating the group’s client coverage model with primary responsibility for more than 30 of the largest financial institutions, including banks, insurance companies, government regulators, private equity, hedge funds and specialty finance companies.

 

Earlier, she worked at Lazard Freres & Co. within their financial institutions and restructuring group, leading teams in three of the 10 largest bankruptcies during the financial crisis, as well as other significant restructuring assignments.

 

She has completed the sale of public and private companies, buy-side advisories and fairness opinions, public and private debt and equity offerings, leading all phases of transactions and negotiated numerous merger and private placement agreements.

 

Ms. LaPuma earned a B.S. in finance and an MBA from the Wharton School, and a B.A. from the School of Arts and Sciences, University of Pennsylvania, graduating from Wharton as a Palmer Scholar.

Eric Michael Wetlaufer, CFA

Eric Wetlaufer provides counsel as a director, advisor, and investor to a large range of public and private companies, with a particular focus on technology and financial sectors.

 

He serves on the Board of Directors of the TMX Group (Toronto), Niyogin Fintech (Mumbai) and Soulpepper Theatre Company (Toronto). He is an advisor to Enterra, GrainDiscovery, CryptoNumerics and the Aion Foundation in the AI, blockchain and data privacy spaces.

 

Previously, Eric served on the Boards of the UN-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) and is past president of the CFA Society Boston.

 

As an institutional investor for 35 years, he most recently was responsible for leading the CPP Investment Board’s Public Market Investments department, a multi-strategy platform of 220 portfolio managers analysts and traders investing globally over C$200 billion in publicly-traded assets and related derivatives.

 

Prior to joining CPPIB in 2011, he was Group Chief Investment Officer, International at Fidelity Investments in Boston. Prior, held the roles of Chief Investment Officer at Putnam Investments and Managing Director at Cadence Capital Management in Boston.

 

He earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University, Middletown, Connecticut, is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a certified member of the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors.

Kevin Cunningham

Chief Financial Officer

Kevin Cunningham is a senior investment management executive with more than three decades of industry experience.

 

Mr. Cunningham recently retired from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) where he was Managing Director and Head of Global Capital Markets, overseeing in excess of C$200 Billion invested across diverse asset classes, strategies, and geographies. While at CPPIB, he chaired the Credit Investment Committee and served on the Investment Planning Committee, Liquidity Committee, and Public Markets Management Committee.

 

He also spent 12 years with Goldman Sachs, where Mr. Cunningham held positions in New York, Tokyo, and Toronto, specializing in trading Fixed Income Derivative Securities. Following his Goldman Sachs tenure, he was Partner and Chief Operating Officer of a Hedge Fund, founding investor and CFO of a Financial Services start-up in Latin America, and advisor and director to Hedge Funds.

 

He is a cum laude Mathematics graduate of Carleton College and received an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan.

Rob D’Avanzo

Mr. D’Avanzo is a life-long supply chain expert, consultant, and private equity investor.

 

He is co-director of the Global Supply Chain Program at Rider University, a top-ten ranked curriculum by Gartner Research. He had previously been a Member of Rider’s Global Supply Chain Advisory Board and an adjunct faculty member in Rider’s MBA program.

 

Prior to joining Rider University, Mr. D’Avanzo was a partner with Accenture for nearly three decades. During his tenure at the firm, Mr. D’Avanzo held various senior leadership roles in Accenture’s global supply chain practice, co-led the firm’s research into high performance supply chain management, and published a book and numerous articles. Mr. D’Avanzo worked with clients in a broad range of industries with particular focus on pharmaceutical and medical products, retail, publishing, automotive and consumer electronics.

 

Mr. D’Avanzo also serves on a number of boards including Tigerlabs, Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management Advisory Board, and the The Family Resource Network. He is also an active private equity investor providing funding, mentorship, and advice to early-stage companies. His portfolio is concentrated in healthcare technologies along with a variety of other products and services.

 

Mr. D’Avanzo received a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain Management and Operations Management from Syracuse University.
